My name is Katie and I am a second-year student from Burlington, Ontario, majoring in Life Science. I chose to study Life Sciences at Queen’s University because of the strong sense of community between students and faculty as well as the important focus on academics. The campus itself is beautiful and there are so many opportunities for involvement no matter what your interests. Having a general first year was another reason I chose Queen’s as I was able to explore the many fields of study before deciding on a subject I felt passionate about. This year I had the honour of being an orientation leader through the Arts and Science Undergraduate Society and am an employee of Walkhome. Both of these opportunities have allowed me to foster a safe and inclusive campus environment and create lasting connections with my peers.
