Fondest Queen's Memory: Crisp fall days crossing campus to Botterell Hall or sitting in the stands at football games. The “bus smell” which meant road trips with the band, rowing team or ski club. And lastly finding the best “underground” spot to study (Douglas stacks, Jeffery Hall) or let loose (the pub).

About Carolyn: Carolyn was born in Toronto, Ontario and holds an undergraduate degree from Queen's (B.Sc. Hons.) and was active in the Queen’s Bands and Rowing while a student. She is a graduate of the McMaster M.D. Program, 1988.

Carolyn is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada and has held a Fellowship in Medical Oncology (UBC, British Columbia Cancer Agency), Clinical Research Fellowship in Lymphoma (Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre), and recently retired as a Staff Oncologist at Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, Kitchener Ontario after working from 1997 to 2015.

Before retiring, Carolyn served as a member of Tri-Hospital Research and Ethics Board, Chair of the Breast Disease Site group, Chief of the Department of Oncology, and Executive member Ontario Medical Oncology Association. Her areas of practice specialty are lymphoma, breast and gynecologic cancers.

Carolyn is married to a Queen’s grad and has three daughters (all went somewhere else.....gasp!).  She has volunteered with Waterloo Minor sports (soccer/hockey coach/trainer), food bank, Out of the Cold, Kids Ability, local Homes Association, and the Grand River Hospital Foundation.  She enjoys hiking running, cycling, skiing, swimming, ice hockey, reading,  and family events...golf if required...all enhanced by food and drink.
